It's politically incorrect to say so, but I believe that some cultural traditions have had their day.
At least they're calling a spade a spade, slaughter instead of "cull" or "euthenase". Unfortunately by tradition, the bull is supposed to be slaughtered as he bellows in pain, which makes the SPCA's promise to ensure none of the animals suffer a little bit more tricky.
